Responsibilities: - Review, research and organize RFQ (request for quotes). - Work closely with customers and sales to understand quote and product requirements (quality, timing, prints, revision levels, etc.). - Develop formal quotes from engineering estimates and sales direction, ensuring a high level of accuracy. - Communicate with Sales team regarding quote status and follow up. - Timely and accurate entering of new orders and amendments into Sales Order System. - Support production planning through timely and accurate assembly of work order packets. - Monitor progress of RFQs through the quote process, ensuring best possible turn and expediting quotes where appropriate. - Maintain quote/Purchase Order/RFQ and other files as required. - Direct incoming calls to the appropriate department/employee. - Support Customer Service, Product Engineering, and Sales team on various projects and tasks. - Maintain leadership standard work. - Serve as a back up to production and special-order customer service positions. - Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications: - 5 years related customer service experience. Aerospace industry experience preferred. - PC aptitude in a Windows environment (MS Office: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software packages. - Exemplary oral and written communication skills. - Problem solving techniques to assist in resolving inquiries. - Strong attention to detail - Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate across all levels of internal management and external customers. - Ability to work independently to multi-task handling simultaneous work assignments and projects and drive "Lean" process improvements.
Education
