Architectural Designer (SC-Miami)

Contribute to architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s) and project team(s) for all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production *

Support and collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives *

Contribute to resolution of complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions *

Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings *

Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination *

Advance the understanding that design resilience is a responsibility of every person at Gensler *

Cultivate design expertise with the desire to always learn, grow, and evolve

10-15 years of relevant architecture and design experience within a commercial design firm *

Ideal candidate will have experience with multiple building facade and envelope typologies of varying scale, including commercial office and mixed-use buildings, sports and entertainment venues, workplace interiors and repositioning projects *

Must be proficient in Revit and the Adobe Suite. Proficiency with Rhino, Grasshopper, Parametric Modeling, Sketch-up, 3D Studio Max and VRay is a plus. *

Knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes and the design process *

Conceptual 3-dimensional thinking skills and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas *

Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development *

A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment *

Creativity Initiator that brings curiosity, enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude *

Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
