Senior Engineer

Job Title: Senior Engineer Clearance Required: DHS Public Trust (HSPD-12 Tier 2) EOD, US Citizen; CAC required Work Location: Onsite; St. Elizabeth's Campus, Washington, DC (Remote work only with written COR approval)

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Senior Engineer. In this role you will serve as the lead technical authority for all Power Platform development (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot Studio) supporting the U.S. Coast Guard Accessions Service Center, and as the main subject matter expert for enterprise architecture design, governance, quality, and protection issues.

You will work closely with Business and Functional area leadership and stakeholders to improve the quality and value of core data assets, respond to regulatory protection requirements, and support the strategic requirements of the department.

- Serve as the lead technical authority for all Power Platform development across the program

- Own end-to-end solution architecture, from requirements definition through deployment

- Establish and enforce Power Platform governance frameworks and development best practices

- Ensure solutions align with security, scalability, and business-transition requirements

- Provide technical direction to journeyman and junior engineers and coordinate with program leadership and Coast Guard stakeholders

- Bachelor of Art/Bachelor of Science degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience OR Master of Art/Master of Science degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience OR an expert-level technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert) plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

- A minimum of three (3) years directly supporting government agencies in the design and deployment of enterprise-scale solutions; USCG or DHS preferred

- U.S. citizenship, and an active DHS Public Trust (HSPD-12 Tier 2) OR the ability to obtain one; must have resided in the United States for three of the last five years

- Experience with end-to-end solution architecture; governance frameworks and best practices

- Experience with security, scalability, and business-transition alignment

- Experience with the following: solution architecture, enterprise app development, technical leadership, systems integration

- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)

The likely salary range for this position is $140,000 - $200,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
