Full job description

THE ROLE : The Field Service Technician Level 2 will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product specific training will be provided. Will interact with customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily after sufficient training is provided.

- Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps

- Operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers

- Operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.

- Working with various Company provided hand and power tools

- Accurate record keeping inside Xylem's work order management system

- Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations

In this role, the working environment is an industrial shop setting where use of PPE is required. May also include exposure to hazardous material and loud noises. The physical demands may include but not limited to, standing and lifting to 50 lbs.

In addition, this role may require overtime, and travel may be needed for training sessions.
