Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary: Job Description: PayPal, Inc. seeks Staff Software Engineer in San Jose, CA Job

Duties: Define and execute the mobile technology roadmap. Drive innovation and experimentation in mobile development. Design, develop, and deliver software and/or platforms (libraries).

Maintain deep expertise in mobile technologies and architecture and strong object-oriented skills including design, coding, and testing patterns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class mobile experiences. Build and lead high-performing mobile engineering teams.

Mentor and coach senior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and experimentation. Partner effectively with product and engineering leadership to oversee mobile architecture and design. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum

Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Special Skill

Requirements: 1. Experience in Android enterprise application design and development (4 years). 2.

Experience with Kotlin, Java, and asynchronous communication/programming (4 years). 3. Experience with creating/producing technical specifications and supporting documentation (4 years).

4. Experience with test automation frameworks like Espresso, or Test-Driven Development (TDD) using JUnit and Mockito (2 years). 5.

Experience with using Android architecture patterns MVVM, MVI, or MVP (2 years). 6. Experience with using Jetpack Compose to create new and existing UI components (2 years).

The expected range of pay for this role by location is: Primary Location | Pay Range: San Jose, California | Salary: $227,639.00-300,500.00 per annum.

40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
