This position is a pivotal link between all departments in our organization, however most importantly to our Drivers. This position works a 4 on 4 off schedule from 1700-0500.

As a Driver Manager , you will: Assume responsibility for optimization of all loads. Respond to customer and operational needs by answering e-mails, phone calls, tracking shipments, and recovering shipments to service our customers.

Proactively work with team members to solve service failures through relays or planning changes to exhaust all efforts of operations to execute at the lowest possible cost.

Process delay in transit messages for all loads and proactively communicate delays to customers on backhaul freight. Manage yard processes to include inbound & outbound load information, empty trailers, and yard checks.

Communicate with city drivers when BOL or trailers are needed. Enforce company policies and maintain safety and order in our drop lot. NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required): Must be 18 years of age or older. 2-3 years previous dispatch experience.

Must be willing to work nights and weekends.

Preferred

Qualifications: Strong geographical knowledge of the United States. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Experience with other applications including transportation management systems (E2Open, McLeod, and SamSara). Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.

Professional email and phone etiquette. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface with all levels of internal and external personnel.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to multi task. Ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere.

Ability to perform duties with minimal direction. Strong attention to detail. Ability to complete all work timely and accurately.

Ability to work a flexible schedule with some off hours coverage as needed.
