As an Executive Director within the Federal Government Relations (FGR) team, you will be working in collaboration with the Global Government Relations Team to oversee legislative activities, scrutinize policy and political trends, and enlighten Congressional and Executive Branch public officials on matters of mutual interest.

Your responsibilities will also include closely liaising with the firm’s business lines and clients to comprehend emerging issues, and to devise, support, and advocate for the progression of public policy priorities that influence the firm and our clients.

  • Own a portfolio of priority federal legislative issues, setting advocacy strategy and driving end-to-end execution of legislative and public policy initiatives to advance firm objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to JPMorganChase senior leadership, aligning stakeholders on policy priorities, tradeoffs, and engagement plans to ensure a unified firm position.
  • Build and sustain high-impact relationships with federal policymakers across Congress and the Executive Branch, enhancing access, credibility, and influence on priority issues.
  • Develop and lead multi-stakeholder advocacy efforts with industry and external partners; provide strategic direction to trade associations to maximize effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Design and execute targeted advocacy campaigns to advance the firm’s priorities with federal policymakers, integrating messaging, outreach cadence, and stakeholder mapping.
  • Produce executive-ready briefing materials (memos, talking points, and presentations) that translate complex policy developments into clear business implications and recommended actions.
  • Lead cross-functional working teams, driving governance, accountability, and on-time delivery across policy initiatives.
  • 12+ years of experience in policy and/or legislative development and analysis
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, financial services, and business issues
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, policy acumen, and strong work ethic
  • Proven and effective lobbying outcomes at the federal level
  • Exceptional relationships and considerable experience with navigating and understanding federal politics and legislative processes
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills, including both public speaking and the ability to engage with senior executives
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to excel and maintain a positive attitude in a high-performance, fast-paced professional environment, while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Management and leadership experience is a plus
