Full job description

- Lead the development and execution of short-form and long-form video content across corporate, executive, social, digital, and external communications channels.

- Identify compelling stories across the organization and transform them into engaging multimedia content that supports Guardant Health's strategic priorities.

- Develop creative concepts, storyboards, scripts, interview guides, and production plans for a wide range of content initiatives.

- Capture and/or oversee video production activities, including interviews, events, executive content, and field-based storytelling opportunities.

- Lead content production using internal tools and resources, serving as a hands-on creator capable of independently producing high-quality content from concept through delivery.

- Manage and direct external production agencies, freelance creatives, videographers, editors, and other partners to scale content production for larger initiatives, specialized projects, and peak workloads.

- Build scalable production workflows that balance in-house content creation with strategic agency support, enabling greater speed, efficiency, and creative flexibility.

- Edit and optimize content for multiple platforms and audiences, ensuring content is engaging, accessible, and aligned with channel best practices.

- Ensure all content aligns with Guardant 's brand standards, messaging framework, and visual identity.

- Maintain and organize video assets, footage libraries, templates, and production resources to enable scalable content development.

- Partner closely with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Investor Relations, and executive stakeholders to develop integrated content plans aligned with business priorities.

- Translate complex scientific, medical, and healthcare topics into clear, engaging, and audience-focused narratives.

- Support major company milestones, including product launches, medical conferences, earnings communications, corporate announcements, executive visibility programs, and industry events through strategic content development.

- Collaborate with Digital & Social Media teams to align content creation with campaign objectives , audience engagement goals, and platform best practices.

- Repurpose long-form content into platform-specific assets, including social clips, executive highlights, event recaps, and multimedia storytelling formats.

- Maintain an integrated content calendar that provides visibility into upcoming content opportunities, campaigns, and key corporate moments.

- Use data, audience feedback, and stakeholder input to continuously improve storytelling quality and content effectiveness.

- Own end-to-end content operations, managing production timelines, stakeholder alignment, approvals, budgets, and delivery across multiple initiatives.

- Build and continuously improve scalable workflows, production processes, templates, and intake systems that enable efficient, high-quality content creation.

- Develop and manage content calendars, production schedules, digital asset libraries, and project tracking systems that provide visibility across teams.

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize work, manage resources, and ensure content initiatives align with business objectives .

- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, optimize creative workflows, and enhance collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

- Evaluate and implement AI-powered workflows that improve the speed, scalability, and efficiency of content production while ensuring human oversight, content accuracy, and brand integrity.

- Help establish and evolve Guardant Health's in-house content studio by building the processes, governance, and operating model needed to scale content production over time.

- Partner with Digital & Social Media teams to create engaging content optimized for LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X, and emerging platforms.

- Support executive amplification programs through the creation of social-first video and multimedia content.

- Develop content tailored to platform-specific audience behaviors and best practices.

- Stay informed on evolving content trends, storytelling formats, and digital engagement strategies.

- Support rapid-response content opportunities and real-time storytelling around key company moments.

- Typically bachelor's with ~12+ years (or 8+ with master's / 5+ with PhD / 3+ with PharmD/MD). Bachelor's degree in Communications , Journalism, Marketing, Media Production, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field required (or equivalent experience).

- 8 + years of experience in content production, video production, multimedia storytelling, corporate communications, digital media, journalism, marketing, or related fields.

- Proven experience producing short-form and long-form video content from concept through final delivery.

- Experience creating executive thought leadership, corporate storytelling, social media, and brand content.

- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience supporting senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

- Experience managing external agencies, production partners, freelancers, and creative vendors.

- Experience building or scaling internal content production capabilities or creative operations while effectively managing external agency relationships is strongly preferred.

- Experience in healthcare, biotech, diagnostics, life sciences, or other regulated industries preferred.

- Familiarity with review and approval processes in regulated environments is strongly preferred.

- Exceptional storytelling and editorial judgment, with the ability to identify and develop compelling narratives.

- Strong video production experience, including concept development, interviewing, filming, production planning, and post-production workflows.

- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent creative tools.

- Experience creating content optimized for LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X, and other digital platforms.

- Strong understanding of short-form video, long-form storytelling, audience engagement strategies, and platform dynamics.

- Ability to simplify complex scientific and healthcare concepts into engaging, audience-focused stories.

- Experience developing executive thought leadership content and translating business priorities into compelling narratives.

- Demonstrated ability to independently create high-quality multimedia content while knowing when and how to leverage agency partners to extend creative capacity and production scale.

- Strong organizational and operational management skills with exceptional ability to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Ability to manage multiple content initiatives while maintaining attention to detail, creativity, and quality.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Airtable , or similar platforms.

- Experience managing digital asset libraries and organizing content for scalability and ease of use.

- Strong understanding of brand systems, visual identity, and messaging consistency across channels.

- Comfort working with performance metrics, content analytics, and audience insights to inform decision-making and optimization.

- Experience with motion graphics, animation, photography, podcast production, or other multimedia formats is a plus.

- Ability to build structure, clarity, and momentum in environments with shifting priorities while maintaining a focus on creativity, quality, and execution.

- Ability to travel as needed, including travel to Guardant Health's Palo Alto headquarters approximately once per month and additional travel for executive events, conferences, customer stories, production shoots, and other business needs.

Primary Location: Palo Alto, CA Primary Location Base Pay Range: $174,500 - $239,950 Other US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $148,325 - $203,958 If the role is performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is: $157,050 - $215,955
