As a Lead IT Project Manager at McKesson Medical-Surgical Inc., you will be responsible for leading and managing complex IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop project plans, and mitigate risks, contributing to the strategic objectives of our healthcare technology initiatives.

- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for multiple, concurrent IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.

- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.

- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed tasks, resource allocation, and timelines.

- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.

- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

- Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.

- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, best practices, and organizational standards and SAFe Agile.

- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.

- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between IT teams, business units, and external vendors.

- Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the organization.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Typically require 10+ years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.

- PMP or equivalent project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2) highly preferred.

- SAFe 6.0 Senior Scrum Master or RTE Certification highly preferred.

- Delivery in multi-mode methodology is required (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving enterprise-level software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, or system integrations.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Experience in the healthcare or medical-surgical industry is a plus.
