Ink Maker

The person in this role will tend mills in a safe and efficient manner to grind the raw materials for manufacturing of high-quality printing ink. As an Ink Maker, you will be responsible for:

- Following batch instructions to weight batches, charge and mix inks - Understanding proper mixing procedures and raw materials - Monitoring temperature and mix speeds and adjusting as needed - Following procedures for milling inks, adjusting pump speeds and mill rates - Following procedures to filter, package and label inks - Making QC adjustments as instructed - Weighting quantities of raw materials for use in the manufacturing of high quality printing ink - Operating one or more mixers in a safe and efficient manner to mix raw materials for the manufacturing of high quality printing ink - Packaging the finished product - Operating a forklift

- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent - Have previous manufacturing experience of at least 6 months - Have forklift experience - Be able to lift up to 50 lbs - Have basic math, communications and mechanical skills - Be capable of managing multiple tasks - Demonstrate good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Office) programs

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

- Understanding of 5S workplace - Knowledge of TPM - Ability to work 10-hour shifts - Ability to work overtime and on weekends
