Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Test Engineering Manager 2 - Flight Test Organization (FTO) Sub-Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This leadership role is located in Edwards AFB, CA.
This selected candidate is expected to lead and provide functional homeroom support as a section manager for a team of 15-20 flight test engineers of all grade levels as well as provide programmatic leadership to this team throughout the flight test campaign. This position will specialize in the flight sciences disciplines which include flying qualities, loads, dynamics, flutter testing and propulsion systems.
They will possess a strong flight test background in these disciplines with strong technical and leadership skills. The leader must have experience with test planning and flight test execution in these disciplines and test reporting. Clear and concise communication skills are a must.
This position is 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA . Due to the dynamic environment of flight test, occasional overtime and off-shift work (nights/weekends) may be required.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
