Full job description

Position Summary The Director, North America Benefits is responsible for the strategic design, governance, administration, and ongoing optimization of health, welfare, retirement, and well-being programs across the United States and Canada. This role ensures that benefit offerings are competitive, compliant, financially sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.

The Director will serve as the organization's subject matter expert on benefits, partnering closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and external consultants to deliver programs that support employee well-being, attract and retain top talent, and enable business success. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive North America benefits strategy aligned with business objectives and Total Rewards philosophy.

Evaluate plan competitiveness and effectiveness through market benchmarking, employee feedback, and utilization analysis. Design and enhance benefit programs, including: Medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision plans Life and disability insurance programs 401(k), retirement, and savings programs ESPP - employee stock purchase program Leave and absence programs Wellness and employee assistance programs Financial well-being initiatives Voluntary and ancillary benefits Recommend innovative benefit solutions that improve employee experience while maintaining fiscal responsibility by developing business cases and cost models.

Analyze trends, claims data, and vendor performance to identify opportunities for plan optimization and cost management. Lead relationships with benefits consultants, brokers, insurers, retirement providers, and third-party administrators. Oversee annual renewals and contract negotiations.

Manage benefits budgets and forecast program costs. With the team, oversee day-to-day administration and delivery of North American benefits programs Lead annual Open Enrollment planning, execution, and employee communications Ensure accurate plan administration through effective coordination with HR Solutions, Payroll, HRIS, and external vendors Drive continuous process improvements and enhance operational efficiency supporting audits and reporting requirements.

Ensure benefits policies, procedures, and documentation are up to date and user friendly for employees. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS regulations and Canadian benefits and pension regulations Partner with Legal and external advisors to monitor legislative changes and implement required program updates Partner with the Communications and HR teams on communication strategies that improve employee understanding and appreciation of benefit programs Enhance the employee experience through simplified processes and service delivery improvements Support leadership and HR partners in addressing complex

benefits-related questions and employee situations Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and Payroll leaders. Manage and develop benefits team members and foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

10+ years of progressive benefits or Total Rewards experience, including significant responsibility for U.S.

benefits programs. Deep expertise in health and welfare, retirement, and leave programs. Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and regulatory requirements in the United States and Canada.

Experience managing benefits consultants, carriers, and third-party administrators. Demonstrated success leading complex benefits initiatives and vendor negotiations. Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities. Experience with Workday is a plus PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $186,300 - $227,500.

The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock.

Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
