They will lead a team of Event Leads while partnering closely with the Internal Events Logistics team to deliver consistent, scalable, and high-quality experiences across the company.

What you’ll do
  • Own the event design strategy and consulting model for Internal Events, establishing how teams plan, design, and evaluate in-person and virtual experiences across Affirm.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate gathering objectives into intentional event formats, experiences, and engagement strategies that drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Develop and implement scalable event frameworks, standards, and planning methodologies that improve consistency, quality, and effectiveness across all event types.
  • Establish governance and best practices for department offsites, leadership gatherings, onboarding programs, training events, regional programming, and company-wide experiences.
  • Drive consistency in event quality, attendee experience, and budget discipline through structured planning processes and decision-making frameworks.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and stakeholders, influencing event strategy, agenda design, attendee engagement, and overall experience architecture.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how teams gather by introducing innovative formats, facilitation approaches, and industry best practices.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics related to event effectiveness, attendee experience, budget stewardship, and program impact.
  • Build and manage a portfolio view of Internal Events, creating visibility into planned experiences, resource allocation, and strategic priorities.
  • Partner closely with the Internal Events logistics team to ensure seamless execution while maintaining clear ownership between experience design and event delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support company priorities.
  • Lead and develop a team of Event Leads, setting priorities, coaching team members, and building a high-performance event design function.
What we look for
  • 8+ years of experience in event management, experience design, organizational development, consulting, hospitality, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of people management experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Experience designing and leading complex events, offsites, leadership meetings, learning programs, or large-scale employee experiences.
  • Experience building programs, frameworks, or operating models from the ground up.
  • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders and guide decision-making across multiple functions and levels.
  • Demonstrate ability to translate business objectives into engaging and impactful experiences.
  • Experience balancing employee experience, operational feasibility, and budget stewardship when making recommendations and decisions.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure, standards, and processes in a growing organization.
  • Experience working in remote-first, distributed, or high-growth environments is preferred.
