- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of applicable video HW and/or Systems experience.
- 4+ years of experience with hardware system design, system integration, schematic capture, and circuit simulation software.
- 4+ years of experience with programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
- 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- 1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
* Leverages advanced video and computer vision engineering knowledge and experience, along with AI/ML hardware acceleration expertise, to research and develop complex video codec, computer vision, and AI/ML accelerator hardware solutions.
* microarchitecture, design, RTL implementation, and verification of highly complex video hardware systems, computer vision & SLAM algorithms, AI/ML accelerators, video encoder/decoder, video quality optimizations, and other feature enhancements.
* Performs highly complex architecture and standards analysis, including algorithm and feature decomposition, to drive requirements and detailed specifications for video, computer vision, and AI/ML accelerator hardware development.
* Ensures advanced key performance indicators (KPIs), overall system performance targets, and area/power efficiency metrics are met across all video, computer vision, and AI/ML accelerator components.
* Drives the triage of highly complex technical problems to determine root causes and implement effective resolutions.
* Facilitates collaboration across organizations (e.g., design and test teams) and engages with architects to analyze product requirements for new system architectures and hardware modules (video, computer vision, and AI/ML accelerators), or for modifications to existing designs across mobile, automotive, IoT, and other markets.
* Leads the design and integration of advanced video systems and AI/ML hardware accelerators, developing complex features and components aligned with technical proposals and product roadmaps for complex products.
* Writes detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for highly complex projects to guide users and customers in implementing solutions; reviews and provides feedback on technical documents prepared by junior engineers.
