Engineer, AI Platforms and Solutions

We are looking for a hands-on software engineer for our Qualcomm's enterprise AI platform focused on knowledge retrieval engineering, agentic pipeline development, agent runtime management and agent powered applications.

This is a fast-paced, execution-focused role involving rapid delivery of features, continuous iteration on pipelines, building new agentic solutions for business processes and integration of agentic capabilities into existing solutions.

This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).

* Work on enterprise-scale AI powered search and retrieval systems supporting various downstream applications and agents.

* Design and improve end-to-end pipelines (ingestion → embedding → indexing → retrieval) with objective evaluation and test harnesses

* Develop and integrate APIs/services/MCP/agent-tools to expose ML/AI capabilities

* Improve retrieval relevance, chunking strategies, and embedding quality

* Evaluate and debug search quality issues, hallucinations, and grounding failures

* Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to deliver production-grade enterprise features

* Strong Python and Rust skills for data processing and application development

* Hands-on experience with RAG systems and LLM-based applications

* Experience building AI applications (including Agentic AI workflows)

* Solid understanding of Agentic frameworks (LangChain, Agno, etc.,)
