VeritaHire · candidate guide

How this works, honestly

The short version: you upload a résumé once; we learn what you can actually do, watch for new postings in your areas, and send you only jobs you'd genuinely be considered for — while they're new enough to win.

Getting started

What happens when I sign up?

You upload your résumé and pick your areas and work types. Over the next ~10 minutes we build your profile: the skills your experience actually demonstrates, the career directions your background supports, a polished résumé we can tailor to each job you choose to pursue, and your first matched-jobs feed. We email you when it's ready. Browsing and applying are always free; you also get 5 AI-tailored applications free every month (Premium raises that to 15 for $1.99/mo, and $5 packs of 20 stack on top and never expire).

How do I log in?

No passwords. Enter your email and we send you a sign-in link — one click and you're in. Prefer a text? You can ask for a one-time code to the phone you signed up with instead.

What do you do with my résumé?

It's used to match you to jobs and to build your tailored application materials — never sold, never shown to an employer unless you apply. Facts only: everything we write for you is built from what your résumé actually says. We never invent a skill, employer, or date.

Your matches (the feed)

Why do I only see recent postings?

Because timing decides outcomes. Most roles effectively fill from the first ~25 applicants, so your feed leads with jobs added in the last 3 days. Older postings we've re-confirmed are still open sit under Verified open.

What do the sections mean?

How does matching actually work?

Two honest questions, answered by rules — not vibes:

We're your advocate, not a gatekeeper: when a requirement says "or equivalent experience," or a license "isn't required to start," we keep the door open — and tell you.

A job shows "For you" dots — what are they?

How good the job is for you — pay now plus where it leads — separate from how well you meet the requirements. Five dots = a genuinely career-building role.

Applying

What's the Apply packet?

Every match can have a packet: a tailored résumé and cover letter built from your real facts, plus the exact quirks of that employer's application system, so a 30-minute application takes ~5. Building one uses an AI-tailor — you get 5 free every month, 15 with Premium ($1.99/mo), and $5 buys a pack of 20 that never expires.

What's one-tap apply?

Some jobs are posted directly by employers on VeritaHire. For those, one tap submits your prepared résumé and answers their screening questions from your verified profile. If a question needs a real answer from you, we send you to their short form instead — we never guess on your behalf, and nothing goes to an employer until you've confirmed your own answers.

What are the email tap-links about interviews and offers?

After you apply, your digest includes one-tap links (got a callback / interview / offer). Tapping them keeps your pipeline view current and teaches the engine which matches actually turn into interviews — it makes your future feed smarter.

Alerts & email

What emails will I get?

A digest after each scan with your new matches (no new matches = no email), instant alerts when a top match just appeared, and pipeline updates you asked for. That's the service — no spam, no partner mail.

And texts?

Only if you ticked the optional box at signup: a short text when a top match just appeared, because speed wins. Reply STOP anytime. Not required to use VeritaHire. (Login codes are separate — those are just how sign-in works.)

Your profile

Can I steer my matches?

Yes — your Profile and Settings pages tune the engine:

Trust & privacy

Are these jobs real?

Every posting comes from an employer's own hiring system or their direct posting here, and is re-verified against the source — when a job leaves the employer's site, it leaves your feed. Employers who post directly can carry a Verified business badge: we confirmed their website is real and their contact email belongs to it.

Who sees my data?

Nobody, until you act. Applying sends your application to that employer — that's it. We never sell data, never share your profile, and marketing consent (if you ever see it) is always separate and optional.

How do I leave?

One email — everything about you is removed: profile, résumés, match history. No dark patterns.
